It’s a plain and simple fact… everything is more expensive these days, including flooring and window treatments. That’s the bad news. The good news is, the quality of the products is the best it’s ever been, and it continues to get better. As the quality of products improves, it becomes more and more important to buy from a store that knows about the latest improvements to help the customer get the best quality for whatever amount of money they want to spend.
That’s where Needham’s comes in. We take the time to learn about the latest advancements in floors and window treatments, attending conventions, seminars, and workshops to learn about the newest technologies so we can help you get the best value for your money. And we don’t try to lure you in with gimmicks like ultra cheap or “free” installation… our installers are trained professionals, and they deserve to be treated and paid like professionals.
To put it another way, if you went to work and your boss said you had to put in a full shift, but weren’t going to get paid for it, what would YOU do? That’s what I thought.
Obviously the stores running these too good to be true deals are paying their installers, but how do you know what you’re actually being charged for installation? And who are their installers? Bundling labor costs into material charges is a quick way for a retailer who doesn’t care about the customer to get more money out of you by overcharging for basic installation materials. Plus, by including labor in the material charges, they will charge you sales tax on the labor and pocket the extra six percent at the end of the day... Labor is a non taxable service. We do not charge sales tax on labor.
It’s your money. You deserve to know what you're spending it on.
